Our Return to Puerto Rico
We planned on spending the day with my brother, Nelmarie, and my niece and my nephew. We had a great time. We went to Guavate so Sean could experience some of the local arts and crafts as well as foods, and then we went to an ice cream parlor where they make any flavor you like (rice and beans ice cream, anyone?) Sean and I stuck to the safe foods: turkey, and for ice cream Bailey's, Peanut Butter, and Tres Leches. Here are tons of pictures of my niece and my nephew and Sean's first sight of a pig on a stick.
David Antonio was funny when he saw the pig. He said to Nelmarie "Mommy, mommy, the pig has buggers!" Everyone in the kitchen and the rest of the clients were laughing the rest of the afternoon. No, the pig did not have buggers and we were too afraid to eat it. It has been so long that Sean and I have eaten that type of pork that we didn't want to risk getting sick right before hopping on the plane.
My brother is always so serious looking, that I took it upon myself to take a picture of him with a natural smile, and here it is!

Meanwhile, Big Momma, as we learned to call her, was chowing down:

Day 7: St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands
So far I haven't mentioned anything about the service and attention on the ship. Well, everything was exceptional! The service and attention we received at SoS was what we had grown accustomed to in other cruises, and they did not disappoint. This was Sean's first cruising experience, and he definitely loved the pampering he received while at the cruise. I had to keep reminding him not to expect the same treatment at home!
St. Thomas is my favorite island. I used to visit there with my parents when I was younger, and I used to look at the seaplane on the bay for hours, taking off and landing. This was my fifth visit to the island, so I woke up early to take pictures as the ship arrived.
Sean and I went alone to the Skyride since Carmen and Chito decided to skip it. We took the best pictures from the entire trip from Paradise Point, at the top of the Skyride station.
Sean was so hot waiting for the Skyride, but he was a really good sport about it:
You can see Puerto Rico, Vieques, and Culebra from Paradise Point.
We were able to take great pictures of the sea plane taking off and landing from and to the harbor:
While at the stores in Paradise Point, we saw this little warning for shoplifters. I started laughing out loud when I saw it and the store attendant started staring at me, so I quickly moved away from the store and ordered a Bushwacker at 9am to help deal with the stress:
We decided to head out so we could visit the Butterfly Garden with Carmen and Chito, but prior to that we climbed further up on Paradise Point to try to get a better view from the top:
Towards the top, I saw a hummingbird perched on a branch. I had never seen a hummingbird stand still, so I took a picture of it.
Before leaving, we also saw the seaplane land, so I took tons of pictures of it. One day we will ride it to St. Thomas.
We headed to the ship to find Carmen and Chito, and then we went to the Butterfly Garden.
We learned that butterflies drink fermented nectar to get drunk, and then they look for mates to procreate.
Then we headed back to the ship so we could prepare for our return to Puerto Rico.
